All of these destinations are quite interesting. Find out for yourself!
Get the prices of each one of these guided tours, which are always done in comfortable buses for short journeys on the road. We will clearly show you the schedule of each of our itineraries and of the places to which we’ll have to take the bus. From there, we will enjoy a day discovering the charms of Madrid’s suburbs, thanks to the presence of our guide, who will accompany you both at the destination of each trip and on the journey there.
Why should you embark on any of our trips to the outskirts of Madrid? It’s very simple: there’s much to see and our tours will definitely surprise you.
All of our trips from Madrid take place during one day. Throughout the day, sufficient time is available to tour places quite different from the capital, like Avila or Segovia. The first is famous for its long medieval walls and the Santa Teresa de Jesus. And the second is world-famous for its Roman aqueduct and the spectacular Alcazar.
Another interesting destination for a trip from Madrid is the city of Toledo. This city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it’s worth going on the peaceful guided tour that we offer you through its streets and to its monuments. It’s the best way to discover the City of Three Cultures.
The attractive places to see on a day trip from Madrid don’t stop there. It’s also possible to go to two quite distinct places that embody the far-off and more recent histories of Spain. Trips and guided tours to Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial and to the Valley of the Fallen are also available.
And equally interesting is to go on a trip to Aranjuez in order to see the palaces, museum and gardens in the beautiful Comunidad de Madrid, located very close to the capital and thus easy to go to on a day trip from Madrid.
That’s to say, we offer various destinations for these trips, which always include a guided tour to the most attractive and unforgettable places to see during your holiday in Madrid.
Tour Reviews
Quite comfortable bus, brilliant restaurant in Segovia and very beautiful places. The downside is that there’s very little time to stop and appreciate everything in detail, especially the aqueduct and the unvisited cathedral.
Avila and Segovia are to be visited time and time again. I will never tire of walking through their streets and I have already thought about returning with my parents through this company.
History and art. Between both cities, there are at least 4 essential monuments to see in Spain, as well as many other interesting but not so famous ones.
Spectacular places. The Alcázar, the Cathedral and the aqueduct of Segovia along with the walls of Avila are impressive, worth seeing if you’re in Madrid
I loved the tour with this agency. The guide was very well prepared but sometimes gave the same explanations in English and Spanish, which took some time.
You walk a lot so its best to wear comfortable shoes. Segovia is beautiful, and you get some time to eat while seeing the aqueduct. I highly recommend it.
A pleasant tour. We saw Segovia and Ávilas highlights. Although I wouldnt recommend it for people who cant walk long distances or who have small children.
Fantastic. We really enjoyed both cities and all their monuments.
I highly recommend it. The guides information was amazing, and the tour around Avila and Segovia was gorgeous. We mostly visited the Avila walls and the Segovia aqueduct, but we also loved the cathedral and the Alcazar…
Very good, punctual, and a modern bus with AC. The guide was very professional, attentive and friendly.
We loved it. For a moment it felt like time had stopped in the sixteenth century. We had enough time to see the city highlights and visit the Muslim, Catholic and Jewish temples and districts.
It was worth it. We were satisfied both with the guide and the tour’s organization. For those who weren’t used to walking, the steep streets were a bit harsh, but that’s also part of Toledo’s charm
We were delighted. I went with my wife and we were both very satisfied with the tour.
Very complete. Starting with a panoramic view of the city form the viewpoint was great, to then visit the most emblematic places.
Good tour. We loved strolling the streets, the panoramic view of the city, the different temples we saw and the cathedral’s facade
I had the same guide here in Toledo as in Avila and Segovia. I’m quite pleased because he’s a very professional guide and friendly with the tourists.
Good but incomplete. The city tour was good but once we were there we didn’t get to visit the inside of the Cathedral and the Alcazar
Impeccable. The tour was very well organized and we enjoyed seeing the city highlights. We were even able to purchase a sword to remember the visit.
The good quality offered via the advertisement and information shown by Julia through Shortplans was as advertised.
The morning in Toledo and in the afternoon there’s time to get to know Madrid. Anyway, I had the feeling that I missed seeing some things in Toledo, so perhaps it would be better to have done a full day.
Worth it. History and art in two spectacular cities.
Highly recommend. It gave us enough time to visit Toledo and Segovia’s main attractions. Good guide.
Fantastic monuments. The Alcazar, the cathedrals, the aqueduct, the palaces, everything was spectacular.
It was worth it. Visiting both cities with an official guide was very comfortable, and he instructed us on the history of these two beautiful cities throughout the entire tour.
Very complete. The tour is very good. If we had to say something bad, we would’ve liked to go into the Segovia cathedral.
Completely recommended. I think we saw the highlights of both cities.
Magnificent. We visited the most emblematic places of each of the two cities and the guide knew how to give us detailed information of every point we visited.
Lovely. The tour allowed us to visit the points described in this page. Highly recommend.
Good. The overall tour was very good, but I think the guide could’ve shown us more things in Avila.
Good value for money. Getting to see these two human heritage cities with a guide explaining everything we were seeing was almost cheaper than doing the route by ourselves.
Awesome. A historical excursion through two of Spain’s most important monuments, true architectural jewels.
Incomplete. We would’ve liked to have some time to visit the library. In spite of that we liked the visit in general and visited many other interesting sites.
We enjoyed it a lot. Great trip and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. Many thanks.
Well put together by Julia and the team. In just a few hours they were able to share the essence and historical importance of the area.
If you’re in Madrid, you need to visit the Escorial and Valley of the Fallen. It’s the best way to see Spain’s history first hand
The history, the architecture, and the amazing views—this tour had it all!
We learned so much about Toledo’s history. It was a great mix of guided tours and free time to wander.
The excursion was nice, but the tapas were disappointing. I expected something more authentic and tasty
From the Alcázar to the Jewish Quarter, everything was amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly.
Toledo is an absolute gem! This tour covered all the highlights, and we even had time to relax and shop.”
